Actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore is putting her Westchester County home on the market for $5 million, the Wall Street Journal reported. The listing of 19 Winfield Avenue in Harrison comes only two years after Barrymore bought the 12-acre estate for $4.4 million.
The property spans nearly 7,300 square feet; the listing price breaks down to $687 per square foot. The main home has undergone a renovation, a process that proved more lengthy and costly than anticipated, which Barrymore described as a “complete internal gut.”
The main home is an 18th-century mansion that takes up approximately 5,600 square feet and has five bedrooms. There’s also a pool and an additional bedroom in the poolhouse.
Compass’ Kori Sassower shares the listing with colleague Brian Lewis. Harrison, about an hour’s drive from Manhattan, sports a median sales price just above $1 million, according to Redfin.
Barrymore described the home as an idyllic retreat from her home base in Manhattan that attracted wildlife such as deer and rabbits.
She bought the property after selling her Hamptons farmhouse at 16 Old Barn Lane in Sagaponack, only weeks after putting it on the market; she asked for $8.5 million, or $1,241 per square foot. That home spent longer in Barrymore’s personal portfolio, as she had purchased it in 2019 for $5.5 million before an extensive remodeling.
Barrymore is known for her roles in movies such as “E.T.,” “The Wedding Singer,” and “Fever Pitch,” along with the Netflix series “Santa Clarita Diet.” She’s hosted her CBS talk show since 2020.
