Talking about rail and logistics in Mexico goes hand in hand with Saúl Romero Blake. With more than three decades in the transport and logistics sector, it is a solid reference of the railway ecosystem in Mexico and Latin America.
Through their companies Seeds Linking Group, Harbest Partners and The Railway Academy, it promotes the vision of strengthening infrastructure and rail services as a sustainable logistics solution against the growing demand for industrial relocation from three fronts: 1) armed with transport infrastructure projects and railway wrench railways, 2) development and operation of railway terminals and 3) Certification and training of specialized talent for the sector, and 4) Railway logistics services door to door within the North American markets.
Today, its mission is to bring more load to the tracks and position the railroad as a key logistics axis to reduce emissions, optimize costs and connect Mexico with the future at a critical moment for supply chains.
Romero Blake states that the railroad is the most safe and efficient form of transport (not only for load but equally important, for passengers), a key tool in the modernization of our territory. His dream, today in execution, is to bring this progress to other Latin American countries, convinced that rail development accelerates regional competitiveness, generates qualified employment and contributes to the transition to a low carbon economy (Net Zero Logistics).
In 2005, he founded Seeds Linking Group and what began as a unipersonal consulting, today operates as a business unit that is part of a holding that employs more than 40 people, with offices in Monterrey, Querétaro. From there, it coordinates strategic operations and alliances with the United States, Guatemala, Colombia, leading comprehensive logistics projects that are going through North America.
Within the Holding, founded Harbest Partners Terminals, which started operations as a developer and operator of railway terminals and in general project key projects. This division has prosecuted thousands of railway cars in the terminals that it operates. It seeks to expand its operation to other Latin American countries, through a logistics model that does not compete, but complements the transport of road load through schemes that combine rail transport and road transport reducing emissions, improving delivery times and optimizing costs.
In 2025 Harbest Partners Logistics opened (HPL), focused on the movement of merchandise via rail, acting as an operational arm specialized in traceability, control and visibility of logistics processes for complex supply chains, especially in cross -border movements within North America
The Railway Academy completes the Holding ecosystem, with an approach to talent development. Transfer, certifies and professionalizes the human capital with technical workshops, security programs and standards aligned with the real market needs and certified by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, and based on AAR standards (American Association of Railroads).
Unlike other operators, Romero Blake highlights the importance of logistics solutions to the measure, supported by own development technology. Prioritize traceability, operational intelligence and sustainability as competitive axes.
Beyond its business capacity, experience and strategic vision, its leadership is also distinguished by having a human and forming approach. Five years ago he left CEO’s role to concentrate on three pillars: a human organizational culture, development of the long -term strategy and vision and the development of new businesses. Its conviction is that talent is as important as the profitability of the company and that its legacy will be to open its way where there is no, as well as form leaders who transform with strategy and responsibility the future of rail transport in Mexico and Latin America.
Romero Blake presents a new way of thinking logistics as a structural transformation tool for regional economic development, investment attraction and transition to a low carbon economy.
As he says: “Together, moving something bigger!”
