Fans who are eagerly waiting for the release of The Elder Scrolls 6 are making a petition for Bethesda to immortalize the content creator known as Camelworks following his recent passing. It’s likely still a few years away before we see the release of Elder Scrolls 6, but apart from being hyped for the game, many members of the community were also hoping to see the deep dives made by Camelworks as he unraveled the Elder Scrolls lore within the new core game in the series.

Now, fans are hoping that Camelworks will be immortalized in some way in the upcoming game. As seen in a post shared by a user on Reddit, a fan-made petition is requesting that Bethesda pay tribute to Camelworks in The Elder Scrolls 6. The petition asks Bethesda to include an Easter egg or, perhaps, an NPC, which would honor the memory of the creator who spent his career making content about the decades-long franchise.

Mackenzie Rowles, who was known by his moniker as Camelworks, was a content creator focused on The Elder Scrolls franchise, as well as other notable Bethesda RPGs, like Starfield and Fallout. His work, which can be seen on his YouTube channel with over 760 thousand subscribers, included deep dives into the lore around everything related to the series.

For example, some of Camelworks’ videos included guides for secrets in Oblivion Remastered, the lore behind every Fallout card in Magic: The Gathering, and curiosities about Apocrypha in Skyrim. Additionally, Camelworks was working on a series of videos about what we could expect from the upcoming The Elder Scrolls 6, such as its potential setting, weapons, armor, and much more.

On March 15, The Elder Scrolls content creators Michael and Scott, who produce content under FudgeMuppet on YouTube, made a post on YouTube announcing that Mackenzie Rowles had passed away. They explain how the past few days were dedicated to celebrating Camelworks’ life, and how they met back in 2015.

In the original Reddit post, many users expressed their sadness to learn Camelworks had passed away, and are hoping that the content creator gets an homage in some way once The Elder Scrolls 6 is released. Fans imagine this could appear in the form of a shrine or grove, or perhaps a dedicated NPC. The petition on Change.org has gathered 685 signatures at the time of writing.

Petitioner Noah says that they “could think of no better person to immortalize in some way, shape, or form in The Elder Scrolls VI,” while petitioner Shaka says that “it would mean so much to see his legacy honored in The Elder Scrolls VI.” It doesn’t seem like a distant dream. Camelworks’ content was recognized by Bethesda, as he had been invited to some of the company’s events, and even met Bethesda Game Studios’ head, Todd Howard.

The company is also well known for paying homage to real-world people, be they former developers or even the streamer known as Skyrim Grandma, who has had herself scanned to appear in the upcoming game. If you’re a fan of Camelworks’ videos and hope to see him immortalized in The Elder Scrolls 6, be sure to sign the petition.
