The electric car factory announced last week by President Sheinbaum will be located in Puebla, according to Plan México.

In the economic strategy shared this Monday by the federal government, it is indicated that the Olinia project will be located in that state in the center of the country.

With the assembly company, which will have public and private capital, the government intends to serve a segment of the population that has daily mobility of less than 30 kilometers.

The planning of these electric cars will be in charge of the Ministry of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation, as well as the National Polytechnic Institute and the National Technological Institute of Mexico, according to official information.

These are three models whose prices will range from 90,000 to 150,000 pesos, according to the government.

The Olinia project is part of the government plan for the automotive and electromobility sector to 2030, which includes 10 electromobility projects in public transport.

According to Plan México, Sheinbaum’s administration seeks to grow the production of vehicles for national consumption by 10%, as well as increase the national content of the units by 15%.
