The Mexican electric car manufacturer Zacua is in the process of expanding its Puebla plant, in which it will add more technologies, according to Nazareth Black, CEO of the company.
“We are in the process of expanding the plant we have in Puebla, which should be several times larger than the one we have today,” he told Forbes Mexico.
More technologies and adjustments will now be included in the plant, seeking to make the company’s processes more efficient and maintaining the leadership we have in Mexico in electric mobility, he added.
Zacua announced that in 2025 it will launch two new models of electric units, a new version of its Zacua city car, and a truck for last mile deliveries.

Likewise, in plans revealed to Forbes, Black said that after these two models the company will launch a motorcycle and a sports vehicle.
The production of these five new models, to whose development Zacua has dedicated several recent years, requires that the company’s facilities in Puebla be expanded.
Zacua also plans to strengthen its distribution network, as well as its collaboration with governments, to expand the battery charging network in the country.
In the midst of the expansion plans for the Puebla plant, Nazareth Black does not rule out that Zacua may also need to expand to other regions of Mexico.
“We are not limited to growing and generating jobs, it all depends on how the projects progress,” said the leader of the shipowner.
As for the Zacua models that will be released this year, the units will be more efficient and durable, since the manufacturer has integrated raw materials such as carbon fiber into its production, which is lighter and more durable.
The announcements of the launch of new Zacua electric models occur after a few days ago President Claudia Sheinbaum presented the plan to develop a couple of electric cars towards the end of the six-year term, as well as a plug-in truck for last mile deliveries, an announcement that The industry has taken it as a sign of the importance of the electromobility agenda for the current government.
