Elon Musk offered on Tuesday to finance demands against officials who have supposedly been negligent when denouncing bands that seduce minors for the purposes of sexual abuse in the United Kingdom, a case that for months the American tycoon asked to investigate.
“I would like to help finance legal actions against corrupt officials who helped and instigated the violation of Great Britain, according to the official government investigation,” Musk wrote today in a message on his social network X.
Musk asks that those interested in their initiative respond to their message, in which he shares a message posted in X by Rupert Lowe, parliamentarian of the Populista de Rica Reforma UK Populist Party.
In the original Lowe message he shares the results of some investigations that he has headed and for which he has raised more than 600,000 pounds (808,000 dollars).
According to these investigations, there have been 85 cases in which local authorities would have allegedly ignored the existence of these minor exploitation networks.
In June, the Keir Starmer government agreed to open an official investigation nationwide about these bands that seduce minors to sexually abuse them after the intense pressure of the opposition, ultra -right and figures such as Musk itself.
The owner of Tesla and Space X served to accuse Starmer of being “accomplice” of the failure of the authorities when protecting the victims and processing the abusers when he was director of the Prosecutor’s Office between 2008 and 2013.
The scandal, in which much older men forced girls to maintain sexual relations, came to light for the first time in Rochdale, in northern England, in 2011.
In some cases men abused their victims with drugs and alcohol.
The British government also decided to begin to demand ethnicity data in cases of abuse and sexual exploitation of minors after a report revealed that this information was not documented in two thirds of the cases of these bands that exploit minors for sexual purposes in the country.
That report revealed that in cases where ethnicity was recorded there was great representation of men of Pakistani or Asian origin and that some authorities ignored this for fear of being perceived as racist or avoiding social tensions.
