The 25% tariffs on the cars of President Donald Trump will cover vehicles and auto parts for a value of almost 600,000 million dollars and will be extended to all imports from computers to the United States, including laptops, according to a reuters analysis of the tariff codes included in a federal registry notice on Wednesday.

The update of the Trump car tariff proclamation last week included almost 150 categories of auto parts that will face tariffs from May 3, one month after midnight activation on Thursday of 25% tariffs on vehicle imports.

The list includes tariff codes for engines, transmissions, lithium -ion batteries and other main components, along with less expensive parts such as tires, shock absorbers, spark plug wires and brake hoses.
