The United States stressed on Tuesday that the government of President Claudia Sheinbaum is achieving good results in border security and migratory control.
“It has been a huge effort of the Government of Mexico under the leadership of President Sheinbaum. We know that, thanks to her leadership, we have seen results in the security of our border,” said the viceporte of the State Department, Mignon Houston, in a press conference.
Mignon pointed out that Mexico has intensified its efforts, “including the shipment of 10,000 National Guard agents” on the border and extradition to the United States of 29 leaders of organized crime.

“I have full confidence that the issues that he is going to deal with related to greater security and economic opportunities in Mexico will be successful and will continue our relationship on this issue,” said Mignon.
