New York City real estate agent Erik Conover was sentenced to prison after pleading in New Hampshire court to felony charges of first-degree assault and reckless conduct.

The former Nest Seekers International agent and YouTuber who once counted 3 million subscribers was sentenced to a minimum of four years in prison after locking in a plea deal last week, WMUR reported. The sentence could ultimately stretch up to 10 years.

Conover was arrested in March following a police chase in his Jeep, according to court documents. A local police officer tried to de-escalate the situation after multiple attempted stops, only for Conover to drive into the cop, throwing him 40 feet, then embarking on another chase that was ended by state police.

The police officer ended up in the hospital with a leg injury.

Conover’s appearances in court created more noise over his legal future. Before his arraignment, Conover said that “if anyone dares try to test my mental competence, I will eviscerate every single person with my intelligence right now.” He also claimed to be the victim of a police sting.

After a closed-door competency hearing and a 30-day stint at a mental health facility, Conover was deemed competent for trial. In September, however, his attorney filed a notice of insanity defense, arguing before sentencing that Conover had bipolar disorder and suffered from a manic episode during the March incident.

“This is not the outcome I hoped for, and not the outcome that reflects the severity of what happened,” Bartlett Police officer Cameron Emmett said in a victim impact statement. “A police officer being run down during the course of duty is not a minor incident.”

Conover’s YouTube channel showcases ultra-luxury listings across New York City, Aspen and Miami, among others.

The 36-year-old launched his internet fame as a travel vlogger, then ventured into real estate after collaborating on a listing video with Ryan Serhant in 2018. After obtaining his real estate license two years later, he joined Nest Seekers and received $100 million in listings from the firm’s chief executive officer, Eddie Shapiro.

Conover is no longer licensed with Nest Seekers.
