The applications of the American technology conglomerate Meta, which cover the popular social networks Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp, suffered a global outage this Wednesday, but the services have already been restored.
“We are aware that a technical problem is affecting the ability of some users to access our applications, Meta warned in a message on X.
The company added that it is working “to get everything back to normal as soon as possible” and apologized for any inconvenience that this interruption of its services may cause.
This technical problem mainly affected the Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp applications in accessing their services and sending messages.
WhatsApp communications recovered shortly after the drop in its service was reported, while Facebook and Instagram took a little longer to restore normality.
According to Downdetector, the failure occurred around 12 noon, mainly in sending messages, 66%; application, 24%; and website, 10%.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., users reported that the service was already being restored.
