Fans believe Taylor Swift has used part of the release of her latest album to quell rumors of a feud with Blake Lively that began after the pop superstar was dragged into a lawsuit over alleged misconduct on the set of the 2024 blockbuster “It Ends With Us.”
Key data
Eagle-eyed observers have noticed that Swift is sporting a diamond bracelet on the cover of the “It’s Rapturous Edition” of her album “The Life of a Showgirl” that appears identical to a custom piece Lively wore to the London premiere of “It Ends with Us” last year.
The pink sapphire and diamond bracelet was reportedly custom made for Lively and she has worn it several times since 2011, including during an appearance on the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and at the 2016 premiere of “Cafe Society.”
Swift used the photo wearing the identical bracelet for the cover of the special edition album and as Spotify artwork accompanying the song “CANCELLED!”, which fans have speculated is about maintaining her friendship with Lively despite public scrutiny surrounding her “It Ends With Us” lawsuit against director Justin Baldoni.
Observers have also speculated that Swift borrowed another piece of her friend’s jewelry for a different “Showgirl” promotion: Instagram account WhoWoreWhatJewels noticed the silver Lorraine Schwartz pendant jewelry that Swift wears on the cover of the “Tiny Bubbles in Champagne Vinyl Collection” for the album are identical to the ones Lively wore to the Met Gala in 2013.
Neither piece is available for public sale (Schwartz is best known as a personalized jeweler to the stars), but the bracelet is estimated to be worth $250,000.

Key background
Swift and Lively were first linked as friends when Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, attended Swift’s Fourth of July party in 2016. Swift has since mentioned Lively and Reynolds’ daughters in her songs, and the friends have been seen together at parties, dinners and at various Kansas City Chiefs games since that Swift began dating tight end Travis Kelce. Rumors of a breakup began circulating last year after Swift became embroiled in a controversial legal battle between Lively and her “It Ends With Us” director and co-star Baldoni. In a later-dismissed lawsuit filed by Baldoni accusing Lively of defamation and extortion, Baldoni referred to Swift as a “megacelebrity friend” of Lively who could “pressure” Baldoni into bending to her will. The lawsuit included text messages shared between Lively and Baldoni, in which Baldoni claims that Reynolds and Swift spoke with him about script changes made by Lively. Lively then refers to the two as her “most trusted companions” and her “dragons,” comparing herself to Khaleesi from “Game of Thrones.” In a February interview with TMZ, Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, did not rule out calling Swift to testify once the case goes to trial. Baldoni’s lawyers have suggested that Swift could be deposed in the lawsuit later this month, but Lively’s lawyers have stated that the pop star has not agreed to such a thing. Reports circulated that Swift was upset and felt exploited after being dragged into the lawsuit, and that it could threaten her friendship with Lively, but fans believe the star’s jewelry choice and her song “CANCELLED!” they are Swift’s way of denying such claims.
