The federal government announced the launch of the “Finviar” application, a digital financial platform with which it seeks to reduce the cost of sending remittances from the United States to Mexico.

“Finviar is a cutting-edge technological application for sending money using blockchain technology, which is a decentralized digital record of transactions shared between an immutable and unmodifiable network, which makes it very secure,” he reported.

“In the United States, there is a network of more than 40,000 branches for sending cash and from the application it is deposited directly to a bank account in Mexico,” he added.

Commissions for sending remittances start at $1.90, while the operating limit per sending is $1,500 per day and $5,000 per month.

“Soon, the Finviar App will be available so that Mexicans in other countries such as Canada and Colombia can send their remittance to family members in Mexico,” he noted.

He reported that the shipping service from Mexico abroad will be enabled, as well as shipments between Finviar accounts.

The operation of the platform, available for iOS and Android operating systems, occurs in conjunction with Solusef and in collaboration with Financiera para el Bienestar.
