Fernando Chico Pardo, who will be the new president of Grupo Financiero Banamex after agreeing to the purchase of a quarter of the organization, is the eighth richest person in Mexico with a fortune valued at 2.8 billion dollars, according to the 2025 Ranking of Forbes.
Chico Pardo initiated his professional career at Wall Street before founding stock market actions and advice, Bolsa House of which he was a founding partner and general director until 1992. That same year, the firm merged with Inbursa, where he assumed the General Directorate until 1997, according to information provided by Banamex.

In 1997 he founded Promecap, one of the most important private capital firms in Mexico, which today manages assets for 5,000 million dollars. From this platform it has promoted strategic investments in key sectors for the Mexican economy.
In 2003 it acquired a participation of control in Airport Grupo del Surrete (ASUR), which operates nine airports in southeastern Mexico, including Cancun, six in Colombia and one in states currently is the president of the Board of Directors.
Since 2014 it is the largest individual shareholder in Carrix, a company related to worldwide port operations.

Chico Pardo is also a majority founder and shareholder of two hotel platforms, which together manage more than 9,000 rooms in the all -inclusive luxury segment and 3,000 in the ultra luxury segment, in alliance with brands such as Four Seasons, One and Only, Rosewood, Hyatt, among others.
He is currently a member of the Mexican Business Administration Councils such as Grupo Carso, Grupo Industrial Saltillo and Gepp.
Fernando Chico Pardo has a degree in Business Administration from the Ibero -American University, has an MBA at the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University.
