The FGR said that, in compliance with the extradition treaty signed between Mexico and the United States, it delivered to extradition to the subject that was required by the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

In the report, the name of Jorge “S” was pointed out, who was identified by media such as Jorge Alberto Soto Rodas, aka ‘La Gorda’, “which was responsible for acquiring, transporting and trafficking drugs from Guatemala to Mexico, and then to the United States.”

The FGR pointed out that the individual’s delivery was held at the Toluca International Airport, State of Mexico, to the American agents designated for transfer to that country.

The extradition agreement between the two countries was signed in 1978, although the first extraditions did not begin until 1995.

Last week Mexico delivered in an unprecedented operation to 29 Mexican drug traffickers, such as Rafael Caro Quintero and the leaders of the Los Zetas criminal group, so that they pay accounts before the EU justice.

The US president, Donald Trump, attributed in his speech before Congress the delivery of the bosses to the pressure of his tariff policy against Mexico, which he accuses of not doing enough to stop drug and immigrant trafficking.

The extradition of Caro Quintero, co -founder and leader of the extinct poster of Guadalajara, and of the other 28 drug traffickers occurred after the Trump government designated Mexican posters as foreign terrorist organizations.
