The former Priista Governor of Veracruz, Fidel Herrera Beltrán, died this Friday at age 76, his son Javier Herrera Borunda reported.
“A few hours ago, my father entered the dream of eternity. And what will be eternal. It was an example of tireless struggle, full leadership and deep love. He touched countless lives with his presence and his word. Father and exceptional husband, brilliant and jurist of height. But, above all, a generous human being in the entire extension of the word,” said the federal deputy for the entity in the social network.
Herrera Beltrán, who ruled Veracruz from 2004 to 2010, was titled in 1971 as a law graduate at UNAM, according to information from the entity published on the Internet.
He was a researcher in Political Science and Public Administration in The
London School of Economics and Political Science, at the University of London, England; He studied Humanitarian Law at the René Cassin Foundation in Strasbourg, France, and studied International Trade at the McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
In the public administration he was deputy, senator, general director and fiduciary delegate of the National Popular Rooms Fund and Coordinator of Advisors in the Ministry of the Interior, among other positions.
