FIFA received at least five million requests for tickets in 24 hours to attend the 2026 World Cup co-organized by Canada, the United States and Mexico, as part of the last ticket draw before the start of the tournament.
The requests were made by fans from more than 200 countries and territories, the international organization indicated in a statement, which highlighted the group stage confrontation between Colombia and Portugal as the most requested.
Other World Cup matches that are generating special interest are Brazil-Morocco, Mexico-South Korea, Ecuador-Germany and Scotland-Brazil.

FIFA added that fans from Colombia, England, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Scotland, Germany, Australia, France and Panama are those who have sent the most requests.
In the case of Scotland, the 2026 World Cup marks the return of this European team to the tournament after a 28-year absence.
This strong demand, after two previous draws in which the composition of each group was still unknown, occurs amid an increase in the prices of tickets and hotel rooms in the host cities.
The group stage matches are divided into four categories according to their attractiveness. In the case of those that FIFA believes generate the most interest, a ticket costs a minimum of $265 and the most expensive are above $700.
For the final, which will take place at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey, the lowest price is $4,100.
