‘The largest mass deportation operation in history is underway’: Casa Blanca
“The largest mass deportation operation in history is underway. Promises made. Promises fulfilled ”, reads another publication on the network.
Trump, who was president from 2017 to 2021, made the fight against illegal immigration his battle horse during the campaign for the elections of November 2024.
His promise to make mass deportations as soon as he set foot in the White House again was reflected in the first decrees he signed, as well as to close the border with Mexico.
On Wednesday the deployment of about 1,500 military began on the border with Mexico and that same day the Secretary of Defense, Robert Salesses, announced that he had authorized the sending of those troops and helicopters and their respective staff, as well as analysts of intelligence that help in detection and control work.
According to its figures, this represents a 60% increase in the number of active forces on the ground since Trump assumed the position on Monday.
The Pentagon will also provide military air transport to support deportation flights of more than 5,000 “illegal foreigners” from San Diego, in California, and El Paso, Texas, detained by customs and border protection.
