Frank Carone sealed the deal for his Brooklyn home before heading to the campaign trail.

Eric Adams’ former chief of staff — recently tapped to serve as the campaign chair for the mayor’s reelection fight — sold his home at 2626 National Drive in the Mill Basin neighborhood for $4.5 million, Crain’s reported. The sale breaks down to $500 per square foot.

Carone and his wife listed the property last April for $6.9 million, meaning they needed to shave roughly a third off the asking price before moving the home.

The initial asking price was ambitious for the area. A three-story home at 2458 National Drive — once owned by a mob-connected car dealer — sold in 2021 for $7.2 million, a high point for the neighborhood.

The buyer of Carone’s home is Michael Davidov, who said he bought the home for his son. Davidov is the owner of another hulking property on the block, which was featured in Sean Baker’s Oscar-winning feature film “Anora.”

The Carones purchased their waterfront property for $1.4 million in 2003, according to public records. They demolished the home on the site to construct a 9,000-square-foot mansion, completed around 2006.

The seven-bedroom home includes a wine cellar, primary bedroom balcony, formal great room with a fireplace and chef’s kitchen. There’s also a dual-level backyard with a saltwater pool, cabana and wood-burning pizza oven.

Anthony Sciortino of Brooklyn 4U Realty had the listing.

“I will miss every moment in that house and community,” Carone said. “As we all know, life isn’t static and sometimes requires us to move on.”

The Carones bought the upper-floor apartment at 45 Sutton Place South in 2022 for $2.2 million. Presumably, making the move over the East River helped the commute to his consulting firm, Oaktree Solutions, and will do the same as he tries to keep Adams in office.
