Born on January 12, 2004, this young talent has demonstrated throughout his career an impressive ability to adapt to different tracks and racing conditions, achieving outstanding results in various motorsport categories.
His beginnings in European motorsport
Javier Sagrera began his career in karting at the age of 9, moving to Italy for his first experiences in the category. During this period, he faced difficult times, since it involved making numerous sacrifices from a very young age.
Over the years, Javier stood out in karting by achieving runner-up in the Spanish Junior Championship and third place in the Spanish Senior Championship between 2017 and 2019.
To achieve this, Sagrera told us: “I fought for a dream, so I had to leave my family, friends and studies.”
After his time in karting, his transition to professional motorsports was successful.
In Spanish Formula 4, he managed to enter the top 10 on five occasions, showing his potential in his first year of competition.
In the following two years, his career took off in the GB3 Championship, where he obtained two podiums and 26 positions in the top 10. However, it was in the Eurocup3 where Sagrera shone, winning the champion title, reaching the podium ten times, in addition to achieving two Pole Positions and triumphing in four of the 16 races he competed in.
The jump to Formula 3
“Dreams come true,” and 2025 marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in Sagrera’s career. The young Catalan driver, who has admired the riders of this category since his childhood, will join the third most important formula category in the world with the AIX Racing team.
This championship enjoys extensive media coverage and global following due to its connection with Formula 1 and Formula 2.
