Gabriel Basso’s Peter Sutherland Returns

Gabriel Basso is back as Peter Sutherland in The Night Agent season 3, and he’s joined by a mix of new and familiar faces. Once again, Peter is at the center of an international conspiracy in his role with Night Action, a top-secret counterintelligence agency. This time, however, he must maneuver the moral grey area he plunged himself into when he climbed into The Broker’s pocket in The Night Agent season 2.

The Night Agent, created by Shawn Ryan, has introduced new conspiracies, criminals, accomplices, and allies with every season. This naturally means a great many rotating faces. Season 3 brings back Basso’s Peter, Fola Evans-Akingbola’s Chelsea Arrington, Amanda Warren’s Catherine Weaver, and season 2’s newly elected president, Richard Hagan (Ward Horton). There are even more new arrivals in The Night Agent season 3, with the introduction of President Hagan’s first lady, a new eager ally for Peter, an unfortunate genius, and a mysterious assassin, among others.

Gabriel Basso As Peter Sutherland

Date Of Birth: December 11, 1994

Missouri-born actor Gabriel Basso serves as The Night Agent‘s leading man, though he began his career as a child actor in projects such as Super 8 (2011), Barely Lethal (2015), and The Whole Truth (2016). In 2021, Basso joined up with Netflix for the action film Trigger Warning before being cast in The Night Agent. He has since claimed recent roles in the ongoing The Strangers film franchise.

Basso plays Peter Sutherland in The Night Agent, a former FBI agent who started out answering phones for Night Action back in season 1. Since then, Peter has stopped several attempted terrorist attacks and political assassinations. Going into The Night Agent season 3, he is determined to help bring down a dangerous intelligence broker whom he unwillingly aided in season 2.

Genesis Rodriguez As Isabel De Leon

Date Of Birth: July 29, 1987

Model and actor Genesis Rodriguez is among the newcomers of The Night Agent season 3. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Rodriguez had her breakout role in Will Ferrell’s Casa de Mi Padre. This was followed up by roles in The Last Stand (2013), Big Hero 6 (2014), and The Umbrella Academy (season 3, 2022), among others.

Rodriguez plays Isabel De Leon in The Night Agent, a passionate journalist eager to expose the gritty secrets of the capitalist elite to the world. When she meets Peter, she has just begun to dive into the biggest scoop of her career, but things quickly turn deadly.

Fola Evans-Akingbola As Chelsea Arrington

Date Of Birth: September 26, 1994

British actor Fola Evans-Akingbola began her career as a model before finding her big break in 2017 in the fantasy series Siren. From there, she appeared in an episode of Black Mirror (2019) before landing roles in Trying (2022) and, more recently, Film Club (2025).

Evans-Akingbola plays Chelsea Arrington, whom Peter met back in The Night Agent season 1. Chelsea made a few appearances in season 2 as a member of the Secret Service, but season 3 puts the spotlight back on her as she serves as the Head of Security for the First Family.

Louis Herthum As Jacob Monroe

Date Of Birth: July 5, 1956

Louis Herthum, born and raised in Louisiana, had his breakthrough in 1991 with the television series Murder, She Wrote, in which he played Deputy Andy Broom. From there, Herthum frequented procedurals like CSI and Criminal Minds, as well as projects like True Blood, Breaking Bad, True Detective, Westworld​​​​​​, and much, much more.

Herthum plays Jacob Monroe in The Night Agent, otherwise known as The Broker. He was introduced in season 2, when Peter was forced to do a favor for this mysterious criminal to prevent a terrorist attack. Going into The Night Agent season 3, Peter is determined to discover The Broker’s true identity and take him down.

Ward Horton As Richard Hagan

Date Of Birth: January 14, 1976

New Jersey native Ward Horton is best known for playing John Form in the 2014 horror film Annabelle, a role which he reprised in the 2017 sequel Annabelle: Creation. Recently, Horton played Charles Fane on The Gilded Age from 2022 to 2023 and appeared in the 2025 film Atrabilious​​​​.

Horton returns from The Night Agent season 2 to play Richard Hagan, the newly elected president of the United States. Though Hagan wasn’t fully aware of the details, he won the election because of The Broker’s meddling, so the POTUS is essentially in this criminal’s pocket, just as Peter is.

Jennifer Morrison As Jenny Hagan

Date Of Birth: April 12, 1979

Illinois-born actor Jennifer Morrison first rose to prominence playing Dr. Allison Cameron in the medical drama House (2004 – 2012). She then became an even more prominent household name when she starred as Emma Swan in the ABC fantasy series Once Upon a Time. Some of Morrison’s other notable projects include Star Trek (2009) and How I Met Your Mother (2005 – 2014).

Though we met President Hagan in The Night Agent season 2, his wife, Morrison’s Jenny Hagan, is only just being introduced in season 3. Jenny is a well-loved First Lady, known as an excellent mother to her children and a great partner to the POTUS. However, The Night Agent has repeatedly shown that most things aren’t what they seem.

Amanda Warren as Catherin Weaver – Amanda Warren, known for The Leftovers and Dickinson, returns to The Night Agent to play Catherin Weaver, Peter’s boss at Night Action.

Suraj Sharma as Jay Batra – Life of Pi‘s Suraj Sharma plays Jay Batra in The Night Agent season 3, a genius financial analyst who comes under pressure after accidentally uncovering an international conspiracy.

Albert Jones as Aidan Mosley – FBI Deputy Director Aiden Mosley is played by Albert Jones, known for The Wire and Genius.

David Lyons as Adam – Peter’s new Night Action partner in The Night Agent season 3, Adam, is played by David Lyons, known for Sea Patrol and ER.

Stephen Moyer as The Father – The mysterious assassin known only as “The Father” in The Night Agent season 3 is played by Stephen Moyer, known for True Blood, The Bastard Executioner, and Shots Fired.
