Lupita Villalobos and Kass ‘Quesito’ Quezada form the duet of Las Alucines, known for telling aspects of their lives with humor, and whose style has taken them to various stages in Mexico, they will even perform for the first time at the National Auditorium in January 2026.
At the close of this edition, Las Alucines have 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube. They know that being content creators is not a linear path, it involves maintaining relevance, knowing that they will not be to everyone’s taste, but they must find a niche. Creating content can be an uncertain path due to fleeting fame on the internet.
But they have managed to build a strong community through their authenticity. “The challenge really is to stay active and attractive to the audience, to always have something to contribute, that entertains, because in this way you make your community and, above all, in this case, your work, which is the creation of content, more solid,” says Lupita.

Kass says that being authentic means losing the pain of the human experience. Consider that authenticity and removing the filter to share what really happens to them is key. This way, audiences recognize that the content creator is also human, which strengthens the connection with the community.
One piece of advice that Lupita would give to someone who wants to make content is: Get addicted to your own cringe: “You’re going to be very embarrassed, but don’t worry, because your content is not for your brothers, your friends, your acquaintances; in fact, they are going to criticize you when they see a side of you that they didn’t know about. But they are not your audience.”
For his part, Quesito says that, although it may sound cliché, you should be yourself when creating content. “But the thing is, if it’s not you and you don’t connect, you don’t find a community, because you’re not being faithful to the person who has to create the content.”
Kass Quezada knows that platforms are the medium through which creators can have a voice and reach an audience, even on a global level. They allow one person to record themselves in one place and be seen by another in a different city. Sponsors, for their part, are crucial for the economic stability of creators, since content creation does not have a pre-established path with clear rules.

For Lupita and Kass, being considered Top Creators is like having a ‘little star on their forehead’, that they are on the right path in something that started as a hobby. But the greatest validation is the communication they have with their community and that encourages them to continue creating content.
“I feel that by opening up with our followers (we connect with the audience), telling our real experiences and showing ourselves as women that we make mistakes and that we laugh at our stories. We are often required, and we have commented on it several times, that women have to be perfect and have a correct message,” says Lupita, and reaffirms authenticity as an essential element to leave a mark.
