Political commentator Glenn Beck sold his Westlake home, among the most expensive listings in Tarrant County.
A buyer named Yogesh Kumar bought 2224 King Fisher Drive when it was asking $11.75 million on Oct. 27, according to Tarrant County records and Zillow. The sale price wasn’t disclosed.Â
Beck listed the home in June for $12.5 million, landing on the list of the priciest listings in Texas that month, according to the Houston Association of Realtors. It was the only Tarrant County home in the Texas top 10. No publicly listed Tarrant County home on the market has an asking price above $12.5 million, according to Zillow and Redfin.
The six-bedroom, nine-bathroom estate has 8,900 square feet of living space on 3.5 acres. Amenities include a four-car garage, a gym and a casita. Michael Hershenberg of local brokerage The Hershenberg Group marketed the property.
The home, built by Cy Barcus for golfer Brandt Jobe in 2004, is in the Vaquero Club neighborhood, a gated subdivision anchored by a country club. The property flanks the course. The average asking price of the 10 homes currently listed in the Vaquero neighborhood is almost $6 million, according to Zillow.
This is the second Westlake property Beck has sold this year. In August, Beck’s legal entity, the Prince Whipple Trust, sold a 12-acre parcel at 4101 Aspen Lane to a cash buyer, according to county records. Neither Zillow nor Realtor.com show a marketing history after the property was listed briefly in 2018 for $3.2 million.
The Prince Whipple Trust reportedly bought a $16.5 million beachfront home on Jupiter Island, Florida, in August, the most expensive home sold on the Treasure Coast that month.
Another Vaquero home landed on the Texas top 10 listings ranking in October: 1121 Post Oak Place, owned by Anthony Barone, asking $11 million.
