Google announced on Wednesday the launch of an “mode with artificial intelligence” in its search engine, a tab – like the image or news – which is a chatbot.
This option, which is only “a preliminary experiment” for Google One Ai Premium subscribers, can answer more complex questions, according to the company.
“You can ask anything you have in mind and get a useful response driven by AI with the ability to go further with useful web and web links,” says the technological titan in a statement.
With this tool, Google seeks to compete with Perplexity or Chatgpt Search, which offer similar searches systems with AI.

“We will not always do it well”
“As with any product of the initial stage, we will not always do it well. For example, although our goal is that the answers of AI in the search present information based on what is available on the web, it is possible that some answers may adopt a personality or reflect a particular opinion unintentionally, ”the company warns in its statement.
The biggest problem of generative AI is hallucinations, when AI gives a well structured, but false response.
Another AI tool that Google offers in its search engine is overViews, a function that offers a summary generated by AI.
The company announced on Wednesday that in the United States Ai Overviews will begin to use Gemini 2.0, its most powerful AI.
