The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the death of three Mexicans who were traveling on the aircraft that crashed yesterday in Clinton County, Michigan.
The private vehicle has a Mexican license plate, the agency added in an information note.
He explained that the Mexican consulate in Detroit implemented the emergency protocol and contacted the Bath, Michigan Police Department and the competent authorities in order to know the results of the investigations and assist in the consular assistance and protection that is required.
He added that the consulate contacted the families of the deceased and will continue to collaborate with local authorities for their eventual repatriation, as well as to provide consular assistance and accompaniment to the relatives of the victims who require it.
The secretariat expressed its condolences over the accident.
