President Claudia Sheinbaum made official the extension of the Package against Inflation and Famine (Pacic), with which the maximum cost of the basic basket is set to remain at 910 pesos for the next half year, according to information from Quadratin México.
During a meeting with the business sector, Sheinbaum highlighted the importance of sustaining joint work, and assured that increases in the minimum wage above inflation will continue to be promoted to improve the living conditions of the population.
He affirmed that the country is going through a favorable economic moment, despite international challenges, particularly with the United States.
He also announced that positive results are expected in foreign investment and exports, which would allow us to reach 2026 with a more solid economic scenario than that expected for 2025.

Amador highlighted that, since its implementation in 2022, the Pacic has been a key tool to preserve the purchasing power of families and contain the increase in essential products.
He added that, starting this year, the program will be incorporated into Plan México as part of the commitment of the federal government and the business sector to strengthen the household economy.
