The president said that, although these pensions are legal, in many cases they were granted in a discretionary way. Therefore, he said that a possible constitutional reform is analyzed that limits this type of benefits.
The head of the Anti -Corruption and Good Governance Secretariat, Raquel Buenrostro, explained that the initial analysis includes retirees of light and strength of the center (LYFC) and Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex).
He added that a review will be made to determine the legality of these pensions.

The Government contrasted that the average pension in Mexico is 7,092 pesos, while in the ISSSTE and IMSS it ranges between 6,676 and 8,400 pesos.
