During his participation in the first Mexico-Italy Business and Investment forum, the official pointed out that Italy is one of the most important trade partners for Mexico in Europe.
He specified that bilateral trade has grown steadily, since from 2021 to 2023 it increased at an average annual rate of 17%, which is reflected in a constant exchange of goods and services.
In addition, the Mexico-Italy Chamber of Commerce increased its members exponentially, from 9 in 2020 to 100 in 2024, an act that makes this link an important reference in the economic relationship and business promotion between both countries.
The Ministry of Economy assured that in the forum held within the framework of the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Italy, it was clear that Italian companies, with their vast knowledge and innovative capacity, play a key role in the development of sectors strategic in Mexico and have had an increase in their interest in making investments and co-investments in Mexico.
At the same time, Mexican companies find in Italy a market with great demand and opportunities to expand their products and services, which is why the forum is an important bridge to promote these new possibilities of collaboration.
