The Ministry of Economy held the first National Content Fair of the Housing Value Chain, with the objective of strengthening the Mexican industry and encouraging the use of national materials and services in the construction of homes.
The event is part of the strategy to consolidate productive chains and generate greater employment opportunities in the country, the agency reported in a statement.
More than 40 national suppliers and 30 developers participated during the fair, as well as representatives of institutions such as NAFIN, SEMARNAT, CONAGUA, CFE and CENACE, as well as FIBRAs and financial institutions that promote private investment.

Business roundtables between companies (B2B) and government liaison roundtables (B2G) were held to promote alliances around the so-called Economic Development Poles for Well-being.
The secretariat highlighted that the construction sector contributes 6.1% to the national GDP and generates more than 2 million direct and indirect jobs, so strengthening local supplies will boost economic growth and move towards shared prosperity.
The Undersecretary of Industry and Commerce, Vidal Llerenas, pointed out that this action responds to the strategy to strengthen the housing value chain and the promotion of national production.
