The protest by SAT workers has only affected 5% of the 162 deconcentrated offices and Tax Service Modules nationwide, according to the Treasury collection body.
The agency stated that taxpayer service is carried out normally in 155 of the 162 offices in the country, and that operations were only suspended in the offices located in Chihuahua, Chihuahua; Celaya, Guanajuato; Guadalajara Sur and Zapopan, in Jalisco; and in Mexico City, East and South headquarters.
He added in an information card that affected taxpayers will be notified of the rescheduling of their appointment via email, and that any questions or clarifications can be communicated to chat.sat.gob.mx or 55 627 22 728.
Regarding the protest, the SAT affirmed that it keeps the channels of dialogue and cooperation open with its workers in a framework of respect and responsibility, and maintained that there have been no threats against the protesters.
He added that with the support of the Ministries of the Interior and Labor, communication is maintained with the workers to listen to their requests.

“This tax body maintains its commitment to public service workers and recognizes that their work is essential in serving citizens and transforming institutions,” he added.

During her morning conference, President Claudia Sheinbaum pointed out this Tuesday that the sit-down protest “is not going to generate a serious problem,” that it is about “a few workers who are doing this approach” and that “they are all being attended to.”
