The federal government presented a training center in artificial intelligence with which it plans to generate 25,000 graduates per year.
The space will have 20 specialization paths, focused on Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis, Cloud, Java and Cybersecurity, according to the head of the Digital Transformation and Telecommunications Agency, José Antonio Peña Merino.
Graduates will have a certification from Infotec (the government’s information technology research center), the public technological higher education system (TecNM) and technology companies, according to official information.
The first call, initially with 10,000 places, will be available at labmexia.gob.mx from November 6 to December 6. The in-person classes will be taught at the TecNM Tláhuac campus in Mexico City, and will be extended to other campuses in Mérida, Tijuana, Morelos, Veracruz, Puebla, Morelia, Oaxaca, Tamaulipas and Nayarit.

However, the course will be available on the SaberesMx platform so that it can be taken remotely for free.
President Claudia Sheinbaum led the presentation this Thursday from the center located in Tláhuac: “What we announced today, like SaberesMx, is part of a very big project, which we are going to present very soon and which I am very excited about, which is called Mexico, country of innovation and in which all of you are going to be a part.”
The general director of TecNM, Ramón Jiménez López, added that this year the curriculum for the Master’s in Artificial Intelligence was also approved, which will be offered starting in January in 28 technological institutes, and by January 2027 it will see its first generation of graduates.
