The death of Víctor Manuel N, a teenager accused of killing Mayor Carlos Manzo, did not occur during a confrontation, but shortly after being arrested, Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla confirmed, according to a report from the news agency, Quadratin México.
He added that for this reason the state prosecutor’s office is investigating the conditions under which the death of the 17-year-old teenager occurred.

“The reason for the murder of the murderer at the scene is also being investigated, because they arrest him, moments later there is a struggle and there is a single shot that kills the murderer,” he declared at a press conference.
He added that a second line of investigation is towards Carlos Manzo’s personal bodyguards, responsible for the first security ring of the mayor of Uruapan.
