The Swedish activist Greta Thunberg stated this Friday in relation to the imminent presidential elections in the United States that the Republican candidate, Donald Trump, is “much more dangerous”, but that both he and the Democrat, Kamala Harris, have “blood on their hands.” ”.

“Regardless of whether Trump or Harris wins, the United States – a country built on stolen lands and the genocide of indigenous peoples – will remain an imperialist and hyper-capitalist world power that will continue to guide the world towards a more racist and unequal world with an emergency growing climate and environment,” he wrote in X.

The environmental activist stated that her message to Americans is that they cannot limit themselves to opting for the “lesser evil,” in reference to current Vice President Harris.

“Democracy is not just once every four years but also every hour of every day in between,” he declared, stressing that voting is not “enough.”

Thunberg, who gained global fame with the ‘Fridays for Future’ movement, urged Americans not to forget that with Harris as vice president, the current US administration is complicit in the “genocide in Palestine.”

“It is in no way ‘feminist’, ‘progressive’ or ‘humanitarian’ to bomb children and innocent civilians; It is the opposite, even when a woman is in charge,” criticized Thunberg.

For all these reasons, he called on Americans to “do everything possible” to counter the consequences of “American imperialism” and to “fill the streets, blockade, organize, boycott, occupy and explicitly denounce those in power whose action or inaction produces death and destruction.”
