Colombia’s Interior Minister, Armando Benedetti, told the United States that its anti-drug policy is “a farce for weapons purposes” and urged them to “go home,” after Donald Trump’s government imposed financial sanctions.

The Treasury Department imposed sanctions against President Gustavo Petro, his wife, one of his children and the minister.

“They put me on the OFAC list without me having attacked them. That shows that every empire is unjust and that their anti-drug fight is an arms farce,” Benedetti said in X.
