Computer pirates linked to Iran have threatened to reveal more emails stolen from the circle of US President Donald Trump, after having distributed a lot before the media before the 2024 elections.

The computer pirates, who use the pseudonym Robert, claimed to have approximately 100 gigabytes of emails from the accounts of the White House Cabinet, Susie Wiles; Trump’s lawyer Lindsey Halligan; the advisor Roger Stone; And the porn actress turned into Trump antagonist, Stormy Daniels, according to Reuters.

Robert hinted at the possibility of selling the material, but offered no more details about his plans. The hackers did not describe the specific content of the mails.

The United States Attorney General PAM Bondi described the intrusion as “an excessive cyber attack.”

The White House and the FBI responded with a statement by the director of the FBI, Kash Patel, who said: “Any person associated with any type of national security violation will be thoroughly investigated and processed with all the weight of the law.”

“This alleged cyber attack is nothing more than digital propaganda, and the objectives are not a coincidence. It is a calculated discredit campaign aimed at harming President Trump and discredit the honorable public servants that serve our country with distinction,” said the cyber -defense agency CISA in an X publication.

Haligan, Stone and a Daniels representative did not respond to requests for comments. Iran’s mission before the United Nations also did not respond to a similar request. Tehran has previously denied its participation in cyberspage activities.

Robert emerged in the last months of the 2024 presidential campaign, claiming to have accessed the email accounts of several Trump allies, including Wiles. Subsequently, the emails distributed to journalists.

The ‘war’ in computer networks

According to Reuters, part of the filtered material was authenticated, including an email that appeared to document a financial agreement between Trump and lawyers representing former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., current Secretary of Health of Trump.

Another set of documents included campaign communications on Republican candidates for public office and a discussion about the negotiations of the agreement with Daniels.

Although the filtered documents generated some media coverage last year, they did not alter the presidential race, which was won by Trump.

In a formal accusation presented in September 2024, the United States Department of Justice said that Robert’s computer piracy operation was directed by the Revolutionary Guard of Iran. The hackers refused to comment on this accusation.

After Trump’s choice, Robert declared Reuters that no more leaks were planned. In May, the hackers said: “I am retired.” However, the group resumed communication after the 12 -day air war of this month between Israel and Iran, which culminated with American bombing to Iranian nuclear facilities.

In recent messages, Robert indicated that they were organizing a sale of stolen emails and wanted Reuters to “spread this matter.”

Frederick Kagan, an academic of the American Enterprise Institute and an expert in Iranian cyberspage, explained that Tehran suffered significant damage in the conflict, and that their spies are probably looking for forms of retaliation that do not cause a military escalation by the United States or Israel.

“A general explanation is that everyone has been ordered to use all possible asymmetric material that does not cause the resumption of an important military activity between Israel and the United States,” he said. “Filtering many more emails probably doesn’t get it.”

Despite the concern that Tehran could unleash a digital chaos, Iranian hackers maintained a low profile during the conflict. On Monday, American cybercuts warned that American companies and critical infrastructure operators could continue in the sight of Iran.
