Hispanic workers continue to be the group with lower income in the United States, although in 2024 they registered a 4.9%rebound, according to the report published Tuesday by the Census Office.
The workers of the Hispanic community reached an average income of $ 50,430 per year, which represents a growth of 4.9% compared to the previous year, although still well below the national average ($ 63,360), according to the United States income report.
By comparison, the Asians with a job won on average $ 86,560, almost unchanged figure with respect to 2023; Non -Hispanic whites, $ 71,260, which implies an increase of 2.7%, and African Americans, $ 52,370, a figure that also remained stable.

The census also explores average family income and ensures that in 2024, Hispanic households reached $ 70,950 per year, surpassing only housing of African -American origin, which suffered a 3.3% drop and remained at $ 64,460.
In contrast, Asian households were headed with $ 119,780 after an increase of 5.1%, while non -Hispanic whites reached $ 91,260, without relevant changes compared to 2023.
The Census Office stressed that the salary gap between men and women expanded again in 2024. While men who work full -time all year recorded a medium income of $ 71,090, 3.7% more than in 2023, women in the same conditions perceived 57,520 dollars, which represents an advance of 1.5% compared to the previous year.
In relative terms, women won on average only 80.9% of what has been obtained by men, below 82.7% recorded in 2023. This is the second consecutive decrease in this indicator, which measures the historical evolution of salary inequality in the United States.
With more than 60 million people in the country, the Hispanic community continues to register gradual improvements in its income, although it still faces a marked disparity compared to other ethnic groups, as well as persecution and threat of constant deportation by the administration of President Donald Trump.
