Hogwarts Legacy reignited our love for magic in games, but with its sequel still a few years away, fans are hoping to experience the spellbinding experience all over again. Luckily, developer Chucklefish has us covered with the upcoming launch of Witchbrook, a life-sim for up to four players.
Set to launch some time this year, Witchbrook will bridge the gap between Hogwarts Legacy and its sequel by giving us a chance to immerse ourselves into the world of magic, the occult, and everything that a life simulation has to offer, such as making friends, falling in love, and reaching that all-important graduation day.
Witchbrook Looks Like The Perfect Wizarding Sim
Although Hogwarts Legacy gave us a glimpse into what it would feel like to be a student in a magical school, Witchbrook aims to push that even more by truly immersing us into the life of a student. In this spell-binding life-sim, you and friends can team up to begin your life as a budding switch in the bustling seaside town of Mossport. It is here that every day will be filled with wonder and charm on your path to graduation.
At Witchbrook College, aspiring witches will find their home, and it is here that players will be able to embark on unique daily routines, and even look forward to seasonal events alongside the rest of your coven, teachers, and city folk. With every character having their own schedule, Stardew Valley fans will feel right at home, but in Witchbrook, you may find your fellow residents working in one of Mossport’s local businesses, drinking in the pub, cramming for exams in the library, or maybe even getting the city ready for an upcoming event.
As you progress through the academic year, so too does life around Mossport. Watch the cityfolk shed their mittens as the Winter snowfall melts away, allowing for the gradual bloom of colourful Spring flowers and donning of sun hats.
As the seasons change, so do the rhythms of the city and its vibrant community…
Who Needs Hogwarts Legacy 2?
Put simply, Witchbrook is the perfect way to distract yourself from Hogwarts Legacy 2, which is not expected to launch for quite a few years yet. The world of magic has always been out of reach for us, and yet something we always try to immerse ourselves in thanks to the medium of fiction. Allowing players to not only surround themselves in magic, but also manage every moment of waking life for an aspiring witch is something that Witchbrook can offer us, and a game that, no doubt, will be just as popular as Hogwarts Legacy when it launches later this year.
