The character in question is you, as a matter of fact, the main playable character in the game, who fans point out is “worse than Voldemort,” and even borderline genocidal when it comes to taking out enemies in Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy is technically a teen-friendly game, and while there isn’t any over-the-top blood, guts, or gore included in the experience, there is absolutely no shortage of violence. While many aspects of the game have been debated by fans over the years, there’s one indisputable fact about your character, which is that they’re absolutely ruthless.
As gluestick3000 points out, “The amount of goblins you kill should constitute ethnic cleansing,” and when compared to He Who Must Not Be Named, he says “Voldemort killed maybe 20 people.” Players like epidipnis agree, saying “you break into people’s houses, steal their stuff, and they pretend like they don’t even see you. They’re too afraid to say anything,” which is unquestionably more terrifying.
Fans have embraced the main character’s brutality, with LHPSU saying, “[Voldemort] murdered six people to make horcruxes. I murdered six people before breakfast. We’re not the same.” They’ve even gone so far as to mock the villain’s wherewithal, with IndianaCahones saying, “Voldemort is overrated.
