Jujutsu Kaisen has cemented itself as one of the best shōnen anime series of the latest generation, and season three has only taken the franchise to even greater heights. Out of all the characters in the series, there isn’t a man quite as influential as Satoru Gojo.
He’s a force of nature, a walking deterrent, and one of the strongest characters in anime. While he’s powerful beyond understanding, he won’t be around forever. Luckily for Jujutsu Society, a recent episode of the hit anime just revealed one character who might be able to fill Gojo’s role should anything ever happen to him.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s Gojo Is a Deciding Factor
Satoru Gojo is more than just one of the strongest characters in Jujutsu Kaisen: he’s the man who keeps the world of Jujutsu Kaisen in check. He deters villains from the most heinous acts around and even makes sure that the higher-ups within Jujutsu High don’t go overboard.
Without him, the world is entirely out of balance, and it falls out of order quickly. Within just a few days of his capture by Kenjaku using the Prison Realm, the higher-ups of Jujutsu High declared his release illegal and decided to execute both Yuji and Yaga.
They’re selfish, closed-minded individuals who staunch the progress of the Jujutsu World. While Gojo may return soon, his imprisonment is an example of how much his replacement is needed. Fortunately for Yuji and the rest of Jujutsu Society, there’s one character powerful enough to keep the world in check.
Maki Zen’in Can Change the World of Jujutsu Society
Maki Zen’in has finally become Toji Fushiguro’s true successor. After Mai’s heartbreaking death, Maki has finally realized her Heavenly Restriction, giving her enough power to finally be a major influence in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Maki killed everyone in the Zen’in Clan apart from Megumi Fushiguro, and the Zen’in Clan is considered one of the Big Three of the Jujutsu world. She killed several Grade 1 Sorcerers and even a few who could’ve been close to being Special Grade. Now that she’s awoken her power, she might be able to fill Gojo’s role.
The higher-ups at Jujutsu High have never seemed to put the interests of the students first. Without Gojo around, the world of Jujutsu Kaisen has been significantly worse. With Maki around, however, Gojo’s strength might not be so necessary after all.
