The US President Donald Trump set on Saturday as the deadline to impose 25% tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada, unless countries take drastic measures against illegal migration and shipments of the mortal opioid fentanyl to the United States.
Trump has not exempted the import imports of the plan, which will harm consumers, the energy industry and national security, as the oil industry has warned.

Canada and Mexico are the main sources of importation of crude oil for the United States and together they represent about a quarter of the oil that US refineries transform fuels such as gasoline and heating fuel, according to the United States Department of Energy.
