NEW YORK.- The United States doubled 50 million dollars the reward for information that leads to the capture of Venezuela’s president, Nicolás Maduro, the US prosecutor Pam Bondi announced Thursday.

Bondi reiterated that Maduro was accused by the United States government in 2020 for drug trafficking and terrorism positions, during the first term of the then President Donald Trump. He also pointed out that last January the reward had been increased to 25 million dollars, and that it now rises until reaching 50 million.

“It’s time to take it to justice,” Bondi said in the message, in which he also assured that the US government is committed to capturing it.
