Although Marco Fabián already has a time that he does not play football at the professional level, he has not announced his official retirement because he still has a dream to fulfill: take the chairman team, the Andorra FC Rangers, to play the Champions League to put on his boots for the last and time and play, even if it is five minutes, the only tournament he lacked to play in his dilated career as a soccer player.
But, even if it does not fulfill that dream, it still has many goals to make: how to bring more Mexican talent to Europe, grow in their business and, one day, be president of the club of his loves.
“I still have dreams to fulfill, now outside the court. Now I am doing my pininos in a European team, but I do not close the doors to a day to be president of an important club and, as everyone knows, the club that I carry in my heart is the Guadalajara club, I have a very good relationship there. I am preparing for tomorrow, why not, think about being president of Chivas,” says Marco.
The midfielder debuted in Las Chivas de Guadalajara N 2007 at age 18 and, from then World Cups of Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018.
Without a doubt, the greatest success with the tricolor was the Gold Medal conquered at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Lee: Chivas owner seeks an important expansion in Europe
He is now president of the Andorra FC Rangers, and Marco Fabián’s main motivation to acquire this club and expand his projects in Europe is the vision he always had since the beginning of his career. He seeks to return a bit of what his almost 20 years of career as a professional footballer gave him, since in Mexico the opportunity for young people is very scarce. Its objective is to open the doors of Europe to young Mexicans and other nationalities, giving them the opportunity to grow and be in the football elite.
“The young Mexicans are very workers, there is a lot of talent in both the sports issue, in the theme of football, as well as great doctors, great filmmakers, great people in different sports triumphs around the world. So, for me in Mexico it is a country that has a lot Open those doors with our Rangers team in Andorra and be able to continue emigrating young people and giving them that opportunity so that they can continue to grow and to see them succeed and have a race, I hope that very great, within Europe, ”he says.
Vision in the field and business
Marco Fabián’s experience as a professional footballer has influenced his business strategies and his business approach in several ways:
Long -term vision and preparation for the future: Fabian mentions that, from the last years of his career as a footballer, he began to think about his future after retirement, since a footballer’s career is very short. This vision led him to expand in different situations and “put his chips on different baskets”, investing in businesses that passionate both inside and out of sport.
“I always liked being in the issue of fashion, fashion From the day to day and today we obtained a brand, I have a brand along with, which is my partner, Christian Estrada. We have a brand called ‘Old Money Social Club’. In cinematography we are also involved with Mexican cinema with Cool Cartoon, which is a Mexican cartoon cinematography company.
Passion and dedication: He has transferred the passion he felt in the field to his business. He advises that, by undertaking, he will be done with a lot of passion, delivering everything of himself, which normally leads to positive results.
PREPARATION AND CONTINUOUS LEARNING: His experience as president of a club in Andorra has allowed him to meet other situations and learn as a manager, adding new things every day. This demonstrates a constant learning attitude, similar to that required to improve in sport.
What is needed to undertake?
Marco Fabián advises entrepreneurs to dare to start a business, but to be aware and study the scope in which they are going to undertake. It highlights the importance of trusting oneself and addressing entrepreneurship with a lot of passion, delivering everything from itself. According to him, when one is passionate about what he does and gives his best, things tend to bow to the positive side and get out much better.
His experience as a footballer taught him that dreams are fulfilled with work and dedication, and that there are no impossible. This mentality now applies to its business goals, as its dream of taking to the Andorra Rangers to the Champions League.
Having lived the shortage of opportunities for young people in Mexico and having emigrated to young Europe, Fabián seeks to replicate that opportunity for others. Its acquisition of the FC Rangers and the creation of academies in Mexico are a reflection of their desire to open doors and support talent, based on their own experience of having triumphed in international football.
In his stage as a manager and businessman, Marco looks at the past with gratitude for everything he lived as a footballer, but looks forward with all the dreams he fulfilled.
“And today what I have to say is that I am simply very grateful, very proud of what I did. If I lacked or did not miss, I stay with what I did, it was more than I imagined.”
