Jeanne Bender is carrying the magic of the books and the power of language to the girls and boys of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. As author of the adventure series Lindie LouBender has transformed his passion for telling stories into a vibrant educational movement that is changing lives – a word in English at the same time.

Since 2022, Bender has been visiting Cabo San Lucas, where he soon recognized the need for English education in communities with limited resources. Inspired by the childhood he met, he began to develop an English program as a second language (ESL). His mission was clear: to learn English was fun, accessible and transformative for girls and boys five years and older.

The heart of this initiative is the La Ballena Community Center – a colorful and cozy space where Bender began to develop his program. There he introduced ESL classes using his own chapter books Lindie Lou Adventure Series And the song of Lindie Lou to teach basic vocabulary in English. Through dynamic classes, interactive stories, music and practical activities, students are acquiring linguistic skills while discovering that they can speak English, while exposing them to cultural diversity, geography and life values.

Bender is delighted with what they have achieved with the program, but has not done it alone. To reinforce their efforts, formed the “Team Lindie Lou”, a group of committed teachers and teachers who collaborated in the creation of class plans and educational materials for their books and English lessons. Thanks to this joint effort, they have achieved a powerful and imaginative approach to language teaching, specially designed for bilingual girls and boys.

Each lesson not only teaches English, but also seeks to awaken trust, creativity and global consciousness. “Learning a new language is much more than memorizing words – you try to connect people and expand your world,” says Bender. Your classroom is full of smiles, laughs and curiosity, while girls and boys discover how to express themselves in English.

Now, Bender’s vision is growing. Is co -founding a non -profit organization called Super bilingual children To take your ESL program to more schools throughout Mexico. Through this initiative, it is helping to create curricula that are easy, fun and effective, with the aim of teaching English to the largest possible number of girls and boys.

Although they have asked to translate their books into other languages, Bender decided to keep them in English. “I wanted students to experience my books in their original format,” he explains. “The idea is to use narration as a natural way of teaching English as a second language.”

His program is already leaving a lasting mark. The girls and boys who participate are gaining confidence in speaking and reading in English, which opens doors to better academic and professional opportunities. “People who speak several languages have more options in life,” says Bender. “It can lead to better paid jobs, better communication skills and greater self -esteem.”

Jeanne Bender’s dedication and energy have not gone unnoticed. He has received the prestigious Mom’s Choice Gold award, was selected by the New Zealand Alphabetization Association, which presented his book Island Treasure In his annual conference, he obtained the “approval seal” of Story Monsters Inkand his books are included in many school lists and librarians of “safe reading.”

With each class, every smile and every new word they learn, Bender demonstrates that education can be cheerful and transformative. His mission is not just teaching a language – it is to tend bridges between cultures, empower new generations and inspire love for learning.

Through his books, his organization and his charisma, Jeanne Bender is leaving a deep legacy in Mexico. Not only is he molding the future of bilingual education – he also reminds us that, with creativity, empathy and commitment, we can all be part of something significant.
