‘Inside out 2’ is the highest-grossing film of the year with 1,698 million dollars collected worldwide, followed by ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ and ‘Despicable Me 4’, with 1,338 and 969 million dollars, respectively, according to the data distributed by the Box Office Mojo website.

The sequel to ‘IntensaMente’ premiered in the summer, breaking all box office records. Six weeks after its release, it became the highest-grossing animated film in history, surpassing ‘Frozen’ (2013).

It is also the first animated film in history to exceed the $1 billion grossing threshold.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, the film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, was one of the most anticipated of the year and has also become one of the highest grossers. In the United States alone, it has raised 636 of the 1,338 million dollars raised.

Two sequels take third and fourth place among the highest-grossing films of 2024: ‘Moana 2’, which earned $882 million in revenue, and the second part of ‘Dune’, which earned $714 million.

‘Wicked’, the big screen adaptation of the Broadway hit, earned $634 million, followed by ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ ($571 million), ‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ ($547 million), ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ (476 million dollars) and ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ (451 million dollars).
