The Economic Development Pole for Welfare (Podecobi) Nezahualcóyotl will house logistics, digital economy, technological services, electronics, light industry, pharmaceutical and medical devices, said Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Economy (SE).
“The Podecobi Nezahualcóyotl has infrastructure in essential services such as electricity and gas, in addition to strategic connections through roads, rail and direct closeness to the International Airport of Mexico City, which facilitates access to national and international markets,” he said.

Ebrard added that the productive, priority and potential vocations of the Podecobi Nezahualcóyotl are the attraction and arrival of investments of logistics, digital economy, technological, electronic services, light, pharmaceutical industry and medical devices.
“Today the property destined for the development pole has basic urban infrastructure and an industrial land use to boost sustainable economic development in the east region of the State of Mexico,” he announced.
The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources determined that the Economic Development Pole for Nezahualcóyotl well -being, since they are properties without vegetation, classified as without coverage and non -forestry is viable and does not require change in forest land use, he added.
“It has a very low deforestation pressure; current low climatic vulnerability, but with high environmental sensitivity in certain indicators, although it is required to guarantee water recharge, waste management, and avoid impacts to ecosystem services of the neighboring protected natural area,” said Marcelo Ebrard.
The Secretary of Economy said that the viability in environmental matters is subject to compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements and the integration of specific measures for ecological protection and water management. ”The infrastructure available within the property includes gas, electricity and rail network.
The Ministry of Energy evaluates the Podecobi Nezahualcóyotl with positive preverages. Among the technical and operational elements identified in energy matters on demand and supply of electricity is established in said opinion:
– The Podecobi will have a growth in its electricity demand from 5 to 7.7 MW from 2027 to 2030.
– The electricity supply can be through distribution for the first load trains and with the National Transmission Network in case of overcoming the demand. The nearest electrical substation (SE) is 1.8 km.
– In high voltage, the connection point would be in the sezahualcóyotl in 85 kV using a transmission line (LT) of approximately 0.2 km. In case of requiring greater capacity, it could be connected in the LT Aurora -Chaping.
