Mexico City, 2025.– After recovering his freedom, Israel Vallarta directed a public message to the journalist Carlos Loret de Mola, with whom he maintains a history marked by one of the most controversial cases of recent years.
In a video broadcast through the X account of Vicente Padilla (@vicentepadillat), Vallarta expressed his desire to have a face -to -face conversation with Loret.
“I do not keep you grudge, Carlos. Things fall for their own weight. You and I know why you left Televisa. I would like to talk to you in front of you, close that pending conversation. If you want to invite me to your program, I accept from now on,” said Vallarta in the message.
He also did direct reference to the television assembly that surrounded his arrest, noting that what was transmitted was not faithful to what happened. “You know it was not how it appeared on the air,” he finished.

Finally, Vallarta insisted that Loret owes him an explanation. “I don’t wish you any evil. I send you sincere blessings. But there is a pending talk that we need to have.”
Context of the conflict
Israel Vallarta and her then partner, French citizen Florence Cassez, were arrested in December 2005 under accusations of leading the kidnapping band known as “Los Zodiaco.” However, over time it was revealed that the alleged capture had been a montage prepared by authorities and broadcast on television, which caused a media, judicial and diplomatic crisis that lasts until today.
