According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, the average salary in Israel in July 2024 was NIS 13,683, up 6.7% from July 2023. Inflation in the same period was 3.2%, so wages are growing faster than prices.
The rise in wages was supported by unemployment data published by the Central Bureau of Statistics, with unemployment at 2.8%, a 50-year low. The labor market remains tight in part because of the sharp increase in government spending due to the war.
