The fashion industry in Mexico takes a step towards inclusion with the arrival of For & From, an outlet store that has as a differentiator that gives employment only to people with disabilities.
The proposal opens its doors in the Samara Shops commercial square, to the west of Mexico City.
The store markets footwear and brand bags of the Inditex group, such as Zara or Bershka, at reduced prices and previous collections.
The establishment in Mexico was possible thanks to the joint work of Fiber Uno (Funo), Grupo Inditex and the Mexican Confederation of Organizations in favor of the person with intellectual disabilities (CONFE), dedicated to the defense of the rights of persons with disabilities.
According to a fiber statement, store profits will be delivered to the association to finance more social initiatives.
For & From seeks to be a model of integration to the labor market by giving opportunities to young people and adults with physical or intellectual disabilities in a safe work environment and without discrimination.

“The For & from project coincides with Funo’s goal to create safe and discrimination -free work spaces. In addition, we are proud to support this initiative that generates job opportunities for people with disabilities, ”said Karen Mora, director of Sustainability Fiber One and Funo Foundation.
“This opening is a clear example of how the joint work between companies and organizations make a significant difference in labor inclusion, demonstrating that when we join forces, we managed to transform doors to a more just and equitable society,” he added according to the statement.

The For & from concept was born in Europe and currently has 15 stores in countries such as Spain, Italy and Portugal.
It has generated employment for more than 850 people with disabilities and has managed to raise economic benefits for more than 8.5 million euros for associations that work in favor of social inclusion.
