Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is working at a good pace to resolve a cybercorpier that seriously affected his retail sales and production activities, the luxury car manufacturer announced this Friday. His factory staff was indicated to stay at home until the beginning of next week.

The security gap, which the company revealed on Tuesday, is the last of a series of cyberbrains and ransomware aimed at companies around the world. In Great Britain, brands recognized as Marks & Spencer and CO-OP have been victims of increasingly sophisticated security gaps.

JLR, owned by India Tata Motors, said he took immediate measures to mitigate the impact of the incident, closing its systems. He reiterated in a statement sent by email this Friday that there is no evidence of client data theft at this stage.

“Now we are working at a good pace to restart our global applications in a controlled way,” said JLR, which has three car factories in Britain. “Our retail sales and production activities have been seriously affected.”

The factory staff of the largest automotive employer in Great Britain, with around 33,000 employees, will remain at home at least until Tuesday.

M&S, who suffered the most notorious computer attack this year, estimated that the interruption of his business, which lasted months, cost him around 300 million pounds (405.27 million dollars) in operational profits losses.

JLR has already had difficulties this year, reporting a quarterly sales fall close to 11% in July, due in part to a temporary pause in shipments to the US after the US government of Donald Trump imposed tariffs on all car imports.

While JLR resumed exports to the US in May, drastically cut off their main profit margin objective for fiscal year 2026 from 10% to 5-7%, amid the continuous uncertainty about US tariff policy. Like its competitors, the company has also been dealing with the weak demand in China and the slowdown in sales in Europe.
