The ATP announced on Friday the distribution of the 18.3 million dollars of the additional bonus of the 1000 Masters in 2024 and revealed that Jannik Sinner was pocketed more than double Carlos Alcaraz.

This bonus, which is added to the awards that the tennis players have already received when participating in those nine tournaments during 2024, is distributed by the ATP between the players and the organizers of the tournaments.

The cast of that bonus is calculated according to the points achieved in these tournaments and in 2024 186 players benefited.

The one who pocketed the most money is Jannik Sinner, with 1,290,652 million dollars, having earned three tournaments, Miami, Cincinnati and Shanghai, in addition to reaching the semifinals in Montecarlo and the rooms in Madrid and Canada. The semifinals in Indian Wells do not count because he was suspended for giving a positive double in that tournament.

The ATP has multiplied by 2.7 this bonus with respect to what was distributed in 2023. This initiative, he points out, was introduced in 2022 to give tournaments and players “an egalitarian cast of the success of this sport.”
