JW Marriott Mexico City Polanco has been renovated to continue offering exceptional experiences. The iconic hotel, which enjoys a privileged location in the exclusive Polanco area of Mexico City, debuts spaces and tangible changes with the aim of maintaining its characteristic elevated and personalized service.

The refresh of the hotel – which shares a location with the Chapultepec Castle, the National Museum of Anthropology and History and the Masaryk shopping and gastronomic avenue – has been inspired by physical, historical and social elements of Polanco.

In this way, it combines enriching experiences of Polanco – such as its renowned bars and gastronomy – with the serenity of its rooms, the 7th floor where its spa and pool are located with wonderful views of the city, and the gastronomic passage of its international cuisine. That is why it is said that JW Marriott Polanco is a destination within a destination.

“Our visitors fulfill the purpose of their trip: to focus on enriching experiences for the mind, body and spirit; but at the same time, we want them to feel part of the destination where they are,” explains Daniela González, Director of Sales and Marketing, in an interview.

In addition, it has become a brand builder for the JW Marriott brand and as a pilot hotel for many of the projects implemented by other headquarters, such as Santo Domingo or São Paulo.

The evolution in almost three decades

JW Marriott Mexico City Polanco, opened in 1996, was the first Marriott International hotel outside the United States, where the company was born, marking the beginning of this brand abroad. The emblematic hotel has a very extensive history and, due to its location, has witnessed the advancement of the brand on a global level as well as the evolution of Mexico City itself.

The most recent stage of its physical renovation ended at the end of 2023, which included the intervention of all public areas under the leadership of the same architectural firm that saw the hotel’s birth: the Sordo Madaleno architecture studio. The new project made the hotel adapt to the condition of the current traveler and what Mexico City means today.

Thus, JW Marriott Polanco now has 314 renovated rooms, a new lobby area and its completely redesigned event rooms with advanced technology, versatile spaces and a wide gastronomic offer.

And it went from having two restaurants and a bar to offering four complete gastronomic experiences: Sendero, Archibald, Corsi, Estación 29 Cocktail and Wine Bar and Tahona Mezcal Room.

At Sendero, guests can explore the flavors of Mexico and Latin America through dishes full of passion. Archibald is a steak house, a home inspired by classic American steakhouses from the 1920s to the 1950s in Chicago and New York that offers a luxury dining experience with high-end wines and a stunning location.

Corsi is a fusion of Italian cuisine and seafood with a diverse and innovative menu. An evening at this restaurant promises to be a gastronomic journey that will delight all the senses.

While at the Estación 29 bar, whose name is inspired by the 1889 Decauville Railway that crossed Horacio Street in Mexico City, the drinks menu evokes the magic and nostalgia of that original meeting point, maintaining the tradition of to be a place where stories intertwine and new adventures begin.

For its part, Tahona Mezcal Room is the ideal place to immerse people in the culture of this iconic spirit drink that is gaining more followers every day in Mexico and the world.

The gastronomic offer will be complete in the first part of 2025 with the opening of its latest Asian concept restaurant.

JW Marriott Mexico City Polanco is an invitation to continue generating stories in its renovated spaces that perfectly combine the modern style and the cultural essence of Polanco, which houses the most recognized spots in the city within walking distance.
